PRICING · FAQ

Why pay bespoke prices instead of made-to-measure?.

Short answer

Makers use “made-to-measure” and “bespoke” differently. Ask whether the provider adjusts an existing block or drafts an individual pattern, how many fittings are included, and how later fit concerns are handled. Compare the written process and total rather than assuming a label guarantees an outcome.

What should I compare?+

Ask for the pattern method, measurements recorded, fittings, garment construction, written total, delivery and aftercare terms. Bonturberg records client measurements and preferences in a Fit Passport; the written order confirms the scope for each commission.

Is made-to-measure wrong?+

Not at all — it serves a purpose. The honest answer is which process fits your expectations, and the guide walks through both without snobbery.

How do online MTM services compare?+

They may offer convenient remote ordering, while an in-person appointment allows the provider to take measurements directly. Compare each maker’s measurement review, fitting options, delivery terms and aftercare; the service model alone does not guarantee a fit result.
