Short answer
Bespoke means a pattern drafted entirely by hand from scratch, multiple atelier visits, and a price that reflects hours of hand-work. It’s exceptional craft. It’s also not what we do — and we won’t pretend otherwise. Made-to-measure gives you a personal pattern from one appointment, at a written price.
What bespoke means (and why we don’t claim it)
Bespoke means a pattern drafted entirely by hand from scratch, multiple atelier visits, and a price that reflects hours of hand-work. It’s exceptional craft. It’s also not what we do — and we won’t pretend otherwise.
What we do: made-to-measure, measured properly
Your pattern starts from a refined base, adjusted to ~30 measurements and posture observations taken at one private appointment. The garment is cut and sewn in our Bangkok atelier, then delivered to your London address.
Written price, no surprises
The written quotation states the garment, cloth, price, taxes and delivery route before you commit. If the number isn’t right, you walk away — no obligation.
Questions people actually ask
Do you claim to be bespoke?+
No — and we say so in writing. Bonturberg makes made-to-measure garments: a personal pattern from your measurements, not a fully hand-drafted bespoke pattern.
Is made-to-measure quality good enough?+
Our garments are crafted in the Bangkok atelier by tailors with 20 years of travelling-tailor heritage. The cloth, construction and finishing are confirmed per swatch. If an adjustment is needed, contact the house for a review; eligibility, deadlines, costs and the adjustment route follow your written order terms.
What if I want the Savile Row experience?+
Then go to Savile Row — genuinely. If you want a personal pattern, a written price, and a tailor who comes to you, that’s what we do.
