CLOTH & CRAFT · FAQ

How do I choose cloth?.

Short answer

With the cloth books open in front of you, guided by the occasion, the climate and how often you will wear it. Your tailor narrows the choice to a shortlist; the final decision is always yours.

Which weights are available?+

The books span fresh warm-weather weaves (fresco, tropical wool, linen blends) through four-season high-twist wool to winter flannels, tweeds and cashmere blends.

Do you source from named mills?+

We source from reputable European mills and select by cloth, not by logo. Named-mill marketing claims are not part of how we sell; the hand and performance of the cloth are.

Can I see cloth before the visit?+

Returning clients can request cuttings by post between visits. Most first-time clients choose at the appointment, where drape and weight can be judged properly.
