Prepare for a made-to-measure consultation: discuss fit priorities, review cloth where available, and confirm the written quote, schedule and any follow-up before ordering.

A first consultation should leave you with clear questions answered and a written next step. Its length and exact format depend on the appointment and garment, so confirm them when arranging the fitting.

Before you enquire

Share your city, preferred date, occasion, garment and intended delivery date. You can also bring a reference photograph or a garment whose fit you want to discuss. An enquiry is not an appointment reservation; wait for written confirmation of date and venue.

Fit priorities

Describe what has or has not worked in previous garments: collar, shoulders, posture, sleeve movement, waist or trouser rise. Ask which of those points the maker can address in the selected process and how fit concerns after delivery are handled.

Measurements and posture

If an in-person measurement appointment is confirmed, the tailor can record measurements and discuss posture. Ask which information is retained in the Fit Passport, how it is used for later orders, and what should be rechecked if your body or preference changes.

Cloth and design

Ask whether the appointment includes physical cloth swatches and which options are available for your garment. Review composition, weight, care and any price differences; confirm the selected cloth and construction in the written quotation.

Quote and schedule

Before committing, review the written quotation for garment scope, currency, taxes, delivery estimate, deposit and balance, and any fitting or alteration terms. The order begins under the acceptance and payment terms stated in your quote.
