A double-breasted suit, built around how you wear it.
Plan a double-breasted suit for office, wedding or evening use in Singapore. Compare overlap, trousers and cloth with a personal made-to-measure fitting.
Bonturberg Atelier Desk ·
Choose the double-breasted front together with the jacket length, lapels and trousers. Describe whether you need an office suit, a wedding outfit or a separate jacket. Bonturberg takes a made-to-measure brief at published fitting appointments and produces the garments in Bangkok.

Start with your working day
Describe the actual journey from getting dressed to arriving at the office or event. Include time spent outdoors, in transport and in air-conditioned rooms, and whether you regularly take the jacket off. These are more useful fitting details than simply asking for a suit for a hot country. They help you discuss cloth, lining and construction as separate choices. Bring the shirt and shoes you expect to wear so that the brief reflects a complete outfit.
Balance the overlapping front
A double-breasted jacket has an overlapping front, so the way it closes is an important part of the silhouette. Ask the tailor to assess the front, sides and back rather than judging only a posed photograph. Show a reference and identify the features you like: lapels, length, shoulder or overall shape. The tailor can then discuss those features against your measurements and posture. A reference is a starting point for the conversation, not a guarantee of an identical result on a different body.
Decide on the trousers at the same time
Waist height, leg width and the break over your shoes influence the outfit as a whole. A narrow trouser under a fuller jacket creates a different balance from a more coordinated shape. Check how the trousers feel when seated and walking, and say whether you want to use them separately. If your day involves carrying a phone, wallet or access card, discuss pocket use too. Write down the agreed details so the accepted quotation describes the complete suit.
Compare cloth and construction in person
Ask to see the actual cloth reference with the intended shirt. Compare texture, weight and how the sample handles, then discuss the lining and jacket structure. A fibre name alone does not tell you how the finished garment will feel. Confirm composition, stock and care instructions for the selected cloth before production. If you travel often, explain the journey and your care routine; avoid choosing a fabric solely because an online description calls it suitable for every season.
Office suit, wedding suit or dinner jacket
The double-breasted front does not by itself make a jacket a dinner jacket. If an invitation specifies black tie, share the exact wording before deciding on the garment. For a wedding, tell the tailor your role, the venue arrangements and whether you want to wear the suit again afterwards. A reusable office commission and a dedicated ceremonial outfit can call for different priorities. Confirm the shirt, trousers and any other pieces rather than treating a jacket photograph as the full order.
Plan your Singapore appointment and written quotation
Bonturberg operates visiting appointments from the published fitting schedule; this page does not establish a permanent Singapore shop or a walk-in alteration service. Select a published date, state your garment requirements and give the date you need delivery. The team confirms the appointment time and meeting point individually. Ask for the agreed currency and a complete written quote covering cloth, garments, delivery, destination charges and adjustment terms. A request takes no payment, and a package guide is not automatically the quote for every double-breasted specification.
Before you order
Does double-breasted mean a tuxedo?
No. The jacket front and the event’s formal dress code are separate decisions. Share the invitation wording when planning the garment.
Can I walk into a Bonturberg shop in Singapore?
Use the current published visiting-fitting schedule and wait for written appointment confirmation. This page does not list a permanent walk-in shop.
Are guide prices a final quote?
No. Your written quotation confirms the exact garments, cloth, currency, delivery and adjustment terms.
