Short answer
It depends on the budget, timeline and how often you expect to wear the suit again. A made-to-measure commission can be useful when fit priorities, cloth or details matter to you; ready-to-wear with suitable alterations may be the better choice for a shorter timeline or lower budget.
The photographic argument
Photographs can make collar gaps, shoulder divots and trouser pooling easier to notice. If close-up photographs matter to you, discuss those fit priorities before ordering and ask how the maker checks the garment and handles any concerns after delivery.
The timeline reality
Bespoke needs months, not weeks — see the wedding suit timeline. If your date is under eight weeks away, the honest advice may be excellent RTW plus a skilled alterations tailor, and we will say so at the enquiry rather than promise what the calendar cannot deliver.
After the wedding
The suit that was made for the day becomes the suit for anniversaries, christenings and boardrooms — and the pattern in your Fit Passport makes every future garment easier. Many couples commission the partner’s first piece within the year; the wedding suit is usually how the house meets the family.
